Blogger
Blogger is Google's hosted blog service. You can change the html (and blogger code, or whatever they call it) of your Blogger blog as much as you want, but there is no way to host any other files, be they images or stylesheets, on your account. With my skins, this isn't a problem because the images are hosted on my server, so all you have to do to install one of my templates is to copy the text from one file into the text box on your Blogger dashboard.
Movable Type
Movable Type is the you-install-it blogging platform from sixapart, who also run Typepad and LiveJournal.
WordPress
WordPress is a great blogging platform that you can either use hosted (at wordpress.com) or download to install on your own web host.
SBS
SBS is our own home-grown blog platform here at squibix design. It's currently in the alpha stage, but you're welcome to try it out if you'd like.
